Genesis 2: 21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof.
According to our first passage, Jesus Christ was the first Person to introduce surgery on our planet. This is not something that man discovered, it was Jesus who performed the first operation. Not only did He do the first surgery, He also has a number of firsts on His resume. When we sing that song: “To God be the glory” we should sing it with the understanding, because man often takes credit for things which have originated with God.
And thus, hardly any mention or reference is made of His name, or His wonderful work. Christ was also the first Person to introduce ship building, and navigation, the concept of flying also came from Him and many other firsts too numerous for us to mention. God introduced clothing, leather, tailoring, and irrigation. In fact, wheresoever there is anything that is good, Jesus is the original source.
Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them…. Genesis 2:6 There went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground…. [Christ’s Object Lessons pp 349] All right inventions and improvements have their source in Him who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in working…. Jesus first introduced radar, He introduced GPS, and the idea of hovering in mid-air without moving also originated with Him.
Genesis 2:22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
