Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
The preparation for the difficult days ahead involves cultivating right attitudes when we are brought into straitened places. Remember, that even though Saul had waited, his mixed up moods and attitudes were not of the kind God could approve of. The next time we find ourselves in a situation where something important is delayed, like we have to go somewhere for a particular time, and we get stuck in traffic;
And a Hialeah driver is texting on his phone in front of us while the light turns green and he isn’t moving. Observe carefully if there’s a change in your attitude where you become very restless angry, go into panic mode, and complain of the way God is choosing to prepare you. In other words, if our feathers become ruffled when in straitened circumstances, that is a call to prayer, because victory on this particular point is needed.
In preparation for the days ahead, where the heat of the furnace will be turned up several notches, the patience of the saints is a must have. God will grant us the grace and strength that we will need, but we must confess that we have a problem on patience, if indeed that is the case. We therefore end with a passage of Scripture which reaffirms the issue of waiting on God’s timing and let’s remember that practice makes perfect.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
