Why God’s Law Is attacked. Part [6] 06/22/2026 (Morning thought)

James 1:25 But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

God offers liberty and satan also offers liberty, but on widely different terms. The liberty God offers is through surrender and obedience to His good will, and wherever persons make this intelligent choice, they will experience liberty, without the adverse downsides that come from the prince of darkness. In God’s form of liberty, the individual conscience or will is left intact, and persons choose to serve, love, and obey God, because He is good.

And there is an intelligent understanding that everything He bids us do is always for our best good. This is why Jesus says that if The Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. Here in America, as we are poised to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday, we remember that laws are what guarantee our freedoms. Even though we are now at a critical juncture, where the rule of law is being upended on several fronts, for the most part we are still a free country, protected by the laws which govern the citizenry.

Persons can own homes and cars, stocks and bitcoin and all of the material blessings of life without them having to worry about it being stolen, because God’s law that says “Thou shalt not steal” has for the most been adopted within the framework of the nation’s jurisprudence. Thus, the freedoms we enjoy are due to the laws which govern our conduct. Thus, when the prince of darkness attempts to paint God’s law as a restriction on your freedoms, he is by so doing trying to sell us the same cool aid which he deceived our first parents into drinking.

John 8: 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
