Ephesians 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Can two walk together except they be agreed? The answer to this question would become all the more relevant as husbands and wives in our day seek to be on the same page spiritually. We are living at a time in earth’s history where final movements will be rapid ones, and because of this, serious decisions may have to be made quite suddenly.
Some spouses, with their families had to make their move suddenly in Ukraine, as the prospect of war overshadowed normal daily life, and many families were forced to make quick decisions, whether they would stay, leave, or split up their families so as to procure the best outcome.
And we too here in the West are not to think that everything will be smooth sailing forever, for the Bible has stated unequivocally that perilous times will come. It may be, that like Lot and his wife, split second decisions would have to be made, under the direction of God, and if spouses are not on the same page spiritually, cracks in their relationship would certainly appear.
Genesis 19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
