Building Robust Immune Systems. Part [9] 09/30/2021 (Morning thought)

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

[The Desire Of Ages. pp 324] We must inevitably be under the control of the one or the other of the two great powers that are contending for the supremacy of the world. It is not necessary for us deliberately to choose the service of the kingdom of darkness in order to come under its dominion. We have only to neglect to ally ourselves with the kingdom of light. If we do not co-operate with the heavenly agencies, Satan will take possession of the heart, and will make it his abiding place.

We may leave off many bad habits, for the time we may part company with Satan; but without a vital connection with God, through surrender of ourselves to Him moment by moment, we shall be overcome.

[3] Having a clear conscience void of offense to God and man.

A seared conscience does much more harm to our immune system than many realize. This is not usually taken into consideration by some in the medical field, but the Bible teaches us that guilt can weaken our ability to stave off disease that would otherwise not have affected us so adversely. That’s why Jesus included the forgiveness of our sins in the health message given in Psalms 103, for God knows that the burden of sin will ultimately take a toll on one’s health, if those sins are not repented of and forgiven.

Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
