Building Robust Immune Systems. Part [10] 10/01/2021 (Evening thought)

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

[4] Cultivating a forgiving spirit. Regurgitating grudges, and failing to let go of evils done to us is a recipe that often wreaks havoc on our immune systems. Some folks get sick solely from an unforgiving spirit. That old bone that was picked with this or that person, and a refusal to forgive, takes a fearful toll on one’s body, and can literally inhibit folks from fighting off some sickness or disease.

In the most literal sense, forgiving a person often does more for the one who forgives, than the one who is forgiven, as far as one’s health and well-being are concerned. The scripture describes one particular instance where one suffered a heart attack, solely because of an unforgiving spirit.

In Psalms 103, the forgiveness of sins precedes diets and foods, because forgiveness does much more for one’s health than all the good food we may eat. So, let us observe very carefully, the order in which God’s work of healing takes place, because the work delineated was not written in a vacuum, it was given by inspiration of The Most-High God.

Psalms 103: 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. 3 Who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases; 5 Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless1
