Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
And now “Brethren”let’s fast forward to the future. Christ has come, the world has been decimated by the brightness of His coming, those who in this life have rejected Christ, our greatest treasure, have been slain, the 1000 years of sabbatical rest have expired, and for the very first time in earth’s history, every human being that was ever born on planet earth is alive contemporaneously.
According to the apostle John, the final conflict of the ages when God will finally put an end to sin, is to be accomplished only after those one thousand years have elapsed. The “Brethren” who have been saved eternally have seen with their own two eyes the extensive efforts made by God to save their lost relatives and friends and the tears have been wiped away from their eyes as a result.
As Lot, and Abraham stand upon the walls of the New Jerusalem, there in the distance they see Lot’s wife and daughters, with their husbands, coming to fight against God. Some, who for years have known the truth, yet have not permitted themselves to become brethren are found on the other side of the fence because they knew not that Christ is our greatest treasure.
Matthew 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
