Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Heaven will be a place of surprises, for persons who should be there won’t be there and others who may have seemed to be the most unlikely candidates for heaven would be present. The men of Nineveh, and Nebuchadnezzar, will be there, but some who have preached to others are nowhere to be found. Close relatives, aunts, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers might make it, while family members may be missing.
Persons, who once rejoiced in the truth, behold with remorse and anguish the results of their decisions and choices in this life. And yes, there would be weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth, when it is finally realized that our greatest treasure, even The Lord Jesus Christ, was right at our fingertips, but now, is out of reach. And now brethren we beseech you by the mercy of God, to make your calling and election sure.
Those golden opportunities that God has granted us to become brethren, those providences He allows, which speak volumes to our consciences, and the waves of death and despair that have gripped the United States, Brazil, India and Europe, all tell us that it won’t be long before the final irrevocable decisions of the judgement will come down.
Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
