The Resurrection. Part [4] 03/19/2021 (Morning thought)

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Pointer # [3] Divinity cannot die, for immortality is naturally inherent in Divinity. When we accept Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives, we also accept the very source of life, because in Christ there is immortal life, unborrowed and un-derived. One can’t offer what One does not have, hence the reason why Christ is able to grant us the gift of immortality.

Not only does the doctrine of natural immortality give to the multitudes a false sense of hope, it robs the gospel of the power of God to save, and places mortal man on the same level with God, essentially rendering us independent of The Life-giver. This is why the proponents of this false doctrine would be overthrown in a signal manner, if repentance is not made.

Therefore, those who teach the doctrine of the natural immortality of the soul, are doing violence to the very person of Christ, and anyone who subscribes to that doctrine will not be saved eternally, if they do not repent.

1st Timothy 6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickens all things, and before Christ Jesus, 15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto….

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
