The Countdown To Midnight. Part [11] 08/30/2026 (Evening thought)

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Later on Titus came to finish them off, in the destruction and desolation that ensued, by which the temple was reduced to ruins in the great conflagration, that killed almost a million people, according to some estimates. But, as was stated before, the prophecy of Christ as it pertains to the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, would have another future fulfillment, because the questions posed by Christ’s disciples included what would be the sign of the end of the world.

Therefore, if the first fulfillment included the Roman banner being planted in the holy place, then we are to expect a repeat of the same thing when our turn comes around. Thus, the question is What is Rome’s banner and insignia in our day, so that we will know what to look for? Without a doubt, it is Sunday, the day of rest which almost all contemporary Christians have subscribed to, and for which there is no Scriptural authority.

In fact, both Cestius and Titus declare that there is no Biblical authority for Sunday worship, yet, almost all evangelicals and protestants have adopted it as the official day of rest. Very many are sincere-hearted, and may have done so without knowing what is at stake, thus Titus and Cestius are asking what are they protesting about if almost all Christendom has signed on to something that’s nowhere to be found in the Bible?

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
