2nd Corinthians 3: 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
[S.P bk 4, pp 401] Men will obtain their neighbor’s possessions by violence; and the strongest would become richest. Life itself would not be respected. The marriage vow would no longer stand as a sacred bulwark to protect the family. He who had the power, would, if he desired, take his neighbor’s wife by violence. The fifth commandment would be set aside with the fourth. Children would not shrink from taking the life of their parents, if by so doing they could obtain the desire of their corrupt hearts.
The civilized world would become a horde of robbers and assassins; and peace, rest, and happiness would be banished from the earth…. That’s the reason why Paul issued a profound curse upon those who knowingly teach that God’s law has been abolished, or nailed to the cross. Some may be doing so ignorantly, and for such there is still hope, but if one who knows better, deliberately continues to preach that God’s law is nailed to the cross, that preacher’s future will be pretty grim.
Galatians 1:8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preaches any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed…. Isaiah 5: 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
