Why God’s Law Is attacked. Part [4] 06/21/2026 (Morning thought)

Deuteronomy 12:Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

Thus he artfully sets the stage for the angels to personally determine what is right from wrong as based upon the feelings or sentiments they harbor…. [1SP pp 22] Satan grew bold in his rebellion, and expressed his contempt of the Creator’s law. He claimed that angels needed no law; but should be left free to follow their own will, which would ever guide them right… Thus, if the angels are left to determine what is right from wrong, then the logical end to his reasoning is that God’s law has to be abolished.

And by so doing he proposes to set them at liberty, since, according to his warped mind, law represents restriction. [G.C. pp 499] He denounced the divine statutes as a restriction of their liberty, and declared that it was his purpose to secure the abolition of law; that, freed from this restraint, the hosts of Heaven might enter upon a more exalted, more glorious state of existence.. And now, having succeeded with one third of the angelic host, he brings the same cool aid to Eve, and she takes the bait with the hope of supposed liberty as the result.

Observe the similarity of the language in the former quote and the next one, because the prince of darkness always uses the same old tricks. He recycles and he repackages them under different names and guises, but beneath the veneer of liberty and freedom, is the cool aid that was once served up in heaven…. [1 S.P. pp 38] She then plucked for herself of the fruit and ate, and imagined she felt the quickening power of a new and elevated existence as the result of the exhilarating influence of the forbidden fruit.

Genesis 3:And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
