1st Samuel 28:24 And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof. 25 And she brought it before Saul, and before his servants; and they did eat. Then they rose up, and went away that night.
Note well that Saul first bowed in worship, before the devil, and then his lunch was brought out. This has happened over and over again in the Scriptural accounts, hence the reason why we concluded that Revelation 13 is not something new. There is a close symbiosis between worship and food. Here it is again.
Exodus 32:2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. 5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord. 6 And they rose up early on the morrow and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
Daniel 5:1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. 2 Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein. 4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
Psalms 106:28 They joined themselves also unto Baal-Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
