God Is Still In Control. Part [6] 07/20/2022 (Morning thought)

Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.

The same is true of nations and persons in our day who may at times seem to be doing things of their own volition, especially leaders of nations who may appear to be exercising unbridled authority over those who are under their jurisdiction. When such leaders wreak havoc and brutalities on innocents, as is the case currently in Ukraine, it may seem as if God has lost control of situations, but this is not the case.

For example, when pharaoh of old commanded that the boy children of the Hebrews be thrown into the river and drowned, it seemed cruel to finite minds, and indeed it was, and the folks back then probably questioned in their minds if God was still in control. But God who reads the future so accurately, knew where that command of pharaoh was headed, for the natural response of the Hebrew women would be to hide their male babies from pharaoh.

But, lo and behold, that is exactly what God wanted them to do, to hide their male children, for in doing so God’s intelligence would turn pharaoh’s so-called plots into total foolishness, and the king would end up financially supporting a Hebrew in his own back yard. Thus, while on the one hand his mandate may seem cruel, God’s plan was silently being done, and fulfilled in pharaoh’s own house.

Exodus 2:9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it. 10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
