Proverbs 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: 30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
There are many productions and inventions of mortals that seem to suggest that there are better ways of doing things, and as such, the Bible, with its sacred utterances is viewed by many persons, as an inferior document filled with irrelevant principles, and methods.
But the passage in Isaiah reveals the fact that God is in control at all times, and His good and perfect will gets done one way or the next. At times, the world may appear to be a runaway train, with no guide or Ruler, and there are other times when what God permits may seem to take us off the rails, but in all and through all, God’s intelligence, foreknowledge, and wisdom are displayed.
The following therefore, are the fundamentals that are mentioned in our first passage: [1] God does not think like us. The way we may come to our conclusions, and our finite modes of thought are no way close to His, and are indeed, greatly inferior.
Proverbs 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. 2 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33 But whoso hearkens unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
