Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The above passages reveal several very important facts about God which would lay the foundation for the study this evening. These stated facts are things that we must come to grips with, if we are to walk by faith, not questioning or arguing with God about things we may not yet understand.
One of the fundamentals to exercising an intelligent faith is for us to understand that God is always right in everything that He does and plans to do. He is the only One who has never made a mistake, and never will. Some of His plans may seem strange to finite minds, and even angels may at times be befuddled at what God does, but at the end of the day, after the dust has settled, it’s always the best thing that could be done. Always!
In other words, finite minds can never improve on what God does, we cannot come up with any better suggestions, or solutions nor do us mortals have the capacity to plan, and to execute in a more efficient manner than God, that which needs to be done.
Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
