A Scripture For Everything. Part [11] 05/20/2022 (Evening thought)

Deuteronomy 12: 15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.

If folks want to eat any and everything without restraint, or interference from God, there are several passages in the Bible that may seem to give them the leeway to do so. Let’s be very careful as we read, lest verse 13 of Isaiah 28 cause some to stumble or fall backwards.

God gives to every person the freedom of choice, to obey or to disobey, with consequences, and therefore, if one is intent on doing wrong, such a person is likely to find some sort of support for it, using or misusing the scriptures. Believe it or not, the scriptures are deployed as on of the devil’s main weapons against us.

The following passages are examples of what we are speaking of, for if persons are dead set in their minds to disregard truth, they, like our mortal foe, will most likely find a scripture somewhere, to show the Biblical basis for what they desire to do.

1st Timothy 4: 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving. 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
