A Scripture For Everything. Part [9] 05/19/2022 (Evening thought)

Galatians 6:Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Repentance, in the overwhelming majority of cases, does not automatically include a reversal of fortune, especially if persons knew what was right, but then disregarded the light God shed on their pathway. It is left with God alone to decide if He would heal or deliver in such and such circumstance.

But for us to expect or demand deliverance as part and parcel of repentance is an absolute misnomer. If Jesus, in this instance were to jump off from the pinnacle of the temple, persons in our day would then follow His example, and we would see teens on TikTok and YouTube attempting the same feat, and dying in the process.

Thus, the suggestion, or inference that satan made to Christ was not born of faith, but of presumption, for he deliberately left out the qualifying factors for deliverance after the godly sort. Here is what the scripture actually says.

Psalms 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
