Pros And Cons Of Foreknowledge. Part [8] 05/11/2022 (Morning thought)

Genesis 6: 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them.

The very same issue of the pros and cons of having foreknowledge arose when it came time to decide whether or not to make man. Knowing perfectly the future of our race and the terrible decisions, choices and actions some will take, would it be the sensible and responsible thing to do, to go ahead and create us anyway?

In other words, should God’s knowledge of the fact that some of the angels, and of the human family would turn against Him, prevent Him from creating intelligent beings with freedom to choose, or should He limit His creation to inanimate objects and lower lifeforms that operate strictly by instinct.

These are just a few of the haunting questions that boggle the minds of mortals from time to time. The fact is that every angel, and both our fore-parents, Adam and Eve were created perfect, a fact that is to always be brought into the equation.

Ezekiel 28: 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set thee so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; thou have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 You were perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
