Salvation To The Gutter-most Part [11] 03/11/2022 (Evening thought)

Hebrews 3:Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness. When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

It is true that none of us should put off our salvation for another day, for The Spirit of God speaks to all expressly: “Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts”. Yet, persons are not to lose courage, just because they may not be where they ought to be spiritually. Instead of groveling in our weakness, let’s take the counsel of Christ to heart, and make the necessary changes by God’s grace.

Salvation to the gutter-most means exactly what it says, for God will leave no stone unturned until we are given ample opportunities to both understand, and accept the truth. This perspective must now be adopted by all who would partake of the latter rain, for we must never forget that the main purpose of the gospel is to restore Gods’ image in man, and to save as many people as possible.

[Early Writings pp 271] I heard those clothed with the armor speak forth the truth with great power. It had effect. Many had been bound; some wives by their husbands, and some children by their parents. The honest who had been prevented from hearing the truth now eagerly laid hold upon it.

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
