Diseases, Causes, And Cures. Part [2] 02/21/2022 (Evening thought)

Genesis 21: 5 And Abraham was one hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

Testosterone levels in older men who exercise, are found to be significantly higher than those who lead a strictly, sedentary lifestyle void of meaningful physical activity. This truth is borne out in the Bible where we will observe that many physically, active individuals such as Caleb, and Abraham were still “Busy” well into, what folks describe as retirement age.

Sarah was actually 91 years of age when Isaac was born, and since Abraham was 100 years old at that time, then the simple math would tell us that there were 36 years which elapsed, between Isaac’s birth and Sarah’s death. That would then put Abraham squarely on the other side of the hill as it pertains to the evening of his days.

At this age we would be expecting him to be frail or weak, and at the very least his days of busyness would have long been over. According to the X-Perts, he would be crunching numbers as it pertains to his will, with only an occasional bout of golf. But not according to the wisdom of God, for we discover that he was still fired up and ready to go, at 136 years of age, and he wasn’t infertile as some would be prone to believe. In fact, according to the scriptures, Abraham continued to have children for several years after Sarah died.

Genesis 25:1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. 2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
