Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
The third prominent feature of the communion between God and Abraham, as it pertains to the righteousness which is by faith, is that Abraham believed the promise, and that against all odds. The way that righteousness was counted upon this occasion is quite interesting, because it hinged on Abraham’s belief in God.
Everything that takes place in the Christian’s life, whether it be growth in grace, living victoriously, vanquishing the enemy, or doing heroic acts such as David and Daniel did, all comes down to believing. It is worthy of note that when God counted it unto Abraham as righteousness, that designation was not tethered to anything that Abraham would do, it was hinged on his choice to believe.
In fact, very little, if anything can be accomplished without believing. As Elon Musk forged ahead with the building of the electric cars, he needed to first believe that it could be accomplished, and then, as belief forms the very foundation of his venture, his resources, energies, research and development would follow. But it has to start at some point, and that point is believing.
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
