Righteousness By Faith. Part [6] 10/19/2022 (Morning thought)

Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

[The Desire of Ages pp 750] The Holy Spirit illuminates his mind, and little by little the chain of evidence is joined together. In Jesus, bruised, mocked, and hanging upon the cross, he sees the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world. Hope is mingled with anguish in his voice as the helpless, dying soul casts himself upon a dying Savior. “Lord, remember me,” he cries, “when You come into Thy kingdom.”

All of the foregoing items of good works should be done and will be done in persons who accept God’s free Gift and His promise to us in Christ, if and when opportunity affords, for they’re the inevitable result of the promise and the Gift, when received by faith.

And, like it was with Abraham in days of yore, The Lord would have us understand that whenever He makes the promise of a Gift to us, there is one, and only one thing that we can do to have it, and that is to receive it by faith, and that is what is accounted as righteousness to all who believe and receive.

Romans 10:That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
