The Spirit Of Unbelief. Part [4] 07/02/2021 (Morning thought)

Matthew 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you

Jesus earnestly desires to bless His people, but our unbelief hinders Him to a great extent, and whereas in certain instances, where miraculous deliverance would have greatly honored His name, our unbelief often throws cold water on His efforts, and golden opportunities to lift up the name of Christ are often lost.

There are several reasons why the majority of folks who name the name of Jesus suffer unnecessarily because of unbelief, and these reasons will need to addressed at the root cause, for great changes in our approach to last day events would need to be incorporated into our thoughts and actions. Some of the more prominent reasons are listed below.

[1] The methods of faith.

One of the sticking points in the exercise of faith is the method that God might employ. Whenever the method of faith contravenes norms, there unbelief often rears its head, for it can be difficult to wrap our heads around something we are not used to, or something that might go contrary to conventional wisdom.

1st Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
