Revelation 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
It is a cryptic statement that we make, that all those who have truly accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives will be mighty glad they did so, in the not too distant future. Therefore, before we proceed, we beseech everyone listening to be reconciled to God while opportunity still lingers for whenever the sealing of God’s people is finished, all hell will break loose, literally.
The winds that would hurt the earth, the sea, and any tree are references to strife and troubles that will be coming on the earth in the last days. And for the record those winds have already begun to blow. This is the reason why it is of great importance for us to understand why the countdown to eternity has already begun.
When the final decisions of the investigative judgment are reached in the heavenly courts, no one will know, not even the remnant people of God, and because of this, we will continue doing just as we have been doing before. However the “Winds” spoken of in the above passage will give us some clues as to where we are in the stream of time, because pandemics and epidemics and diseases and social unrest, together with natural and unnatural disasters will begin to multiply across the globe with an alarming and unexplainable rate.
Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
