Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
In the days of Noah, sin, evil and iniquity did not peak overnight. It took time for the satanic principles and methods to be developed, practiced and indelibly etched into the consciences of man, until the voice of God went silent in the minds of those who had chosen sin as their master. Then the cascading effect brought the world to its lowest point and ultimately culminated in the waters of the flood.
Similarly, the unprecedented occurrences we are witnessing today did not happen overnight but are the results of years of rebellion against the word of God. Like pharaoh of old, persons have deliberately buried their heads in the sand, and when there was opportunity to correct the evils by doing the right thing, they reasoned away the voice of conscience on different grounds.
Therefore, our chickens are coming home to roost, and when they do, there will be no one to deliver, because all who have not availed themselves of the grace of God when it was available, will have no one to shelter them when the storm of trouble unfurls. The door of mercy is yet open, but like the door on Noah’s ark, it is swinging to a close.
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. “God bless!
