Another Signature Doctrine Of Babylon. 09/21/2015 (Evening thought)

1st Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Job 7:9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. 10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.

The first passage of scripture above teaches us with certainty that in the last days of earth's history there will be a proliferation of doctrines of devils, which means that a multitude of satanic teachings will be held by millions of people, who would embrace them as being Bible based, since certain texts will be misinterpreted to mean what the devils want them to mean. But the second passage above in Job, counters one of the signature doctrines of devils, and one that is now firmly seated in most of the world's major religions, including Islam, Roman Catholicism, and many other protestant churches, who have come to adopt the pagan teaching of the natural immortality of the soul.

This false doctrine was first introduced in the garden of Eden, when the enemy of God and man suggested to Eve that there would be no death to her, in response to disobeying the word of God pertaining to touching and eating of the forbidden tree of knowledge, good and, evil. God had specifically stated that if His word was disobeyed, they would surely die, but the devil came along and stated the exact opposite, declaring to Eve that they were gods, and therefore possessed natural immortality. Let's read:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Thus, even though we continue to bury our dead to the contrary, and most human beings make plans for retirement and final dissolution of the body, yet the false doctrine still persists today, holding out a false hope to those who subscribe to this un-scriptural teaching. One of the main passages in the Bible, which is most often used to try and confirm this error, is the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, which Christ used to show that there are eternal rewards for deeds done in the body, while we are here on earth. And even though the logistics of the parable thus used make absolutely no sense whatsoever, yet many theologians are willing to force it from its context, by placing a warped interpretation to what Christ originally intended. Let's read:

Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

A casual observation of this parable reveals that a literal interpretation is virtually impossible, since Lazarus and Abraham seem to be carrying on quite an extensive conversation, whilst the fires of hell are supposedly roasting the daylights out of the rich man, and Lazarus sits idly by watching on. A literal interpretation of the text will mean that both men are apparently in close proximity, which will then mean that the fires of hell must be pretty close to Abraham, at least within hearing distance, and so even Abraham and Lazarus are in danger of also being burned.

But a closer look at the details show us that both men actually "Died", for this is plainly stated in the parable, and therefore the false doctrine of natural immortality is signally cast out into utter darkness, even if a literal interpretation were placed upon it. And we can go on and on to show that the speed of sound will totally obliterate a literal interpretation of the text, for the distance between this earth and heaven is trillions of light years. Thus, by using current science and common sense, the teaching of life after death falls flat on its face, with no logical chance of making any sense whatsoever.

We must here remember that the term Babylon means confusion, and therefore the doctrines that are to be found in that system of religious beliefs cannot make any sense. Furthermore, the Bible clearly states that when a person dies, their thoughts perish, and they have no more a part of anything that is done under the sun. Let us therefore not be deceived by the web of lies concocted by the enemy of souls, to lull us into a state of carnal security, by which we may lose out on the gift of eternal life, which God has promised to those who look forward to the second coming of Christ.

We therefore end with a passage of scripture which confirms to us the solemn truth that no person living on this planet has immortality as an inherent feature, and it is the will of God that we now order our steps and decision-making processes, according to the sacred truths that are written in His word concerning this issue. Let's read:

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. 10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

May God add His blessing to the study and practice of His word. "Good night" and God bless!
