Isaiah 30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: 9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
This passage of scripture shows us the true meaning behind the recent and ongoing moves being made to eliminate God's law from the hearts and minds of the people. Wherever the law of God is upheld, it represents an absolute standard of righteousness which sets the moral bar for human behaviors and conduct. But when the Ten commandments are removed from view, then everyone is left to decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong, and as we are currently witnessing in our day, the variations in thought upon morality run the entire gamut, from partial obedience, to outright rebellion in its most hideous form.
This is the reason why the many celebrations across the land, trumpeting the dissolution of the God-ordained marriage institution, is being touted as great progress, while the devil sits in the background with a sinister grin on his face.
One of the reasons why many people are now pushing for the eradication of God's law of Ten commandments, is because it rebukes the sinful practices of the multitudes, which in turn troubles the conscience, and points us to Christ, The only One who can save us from our sins. A person comes home at night from a hard day's work, and all that is there on the table to eat is a morsel of bread that was left outside. And as he turns on the light he sees that there are ants on the bread, but instead of discarding the article of food, he turns off the light and eats the contaminated bread in darkness, just so that his conscience may be quieted.
In like manner, the law of God which shows us where our various problems lie, is as the light bulb which revealed the ants on the morsel of bread, but instead of making the necessary changes to our lifestyle through the grace and merits of Christ, we instead seek to extinguish the light, so that we may eat our own bread in darkness, without our consciences being disturbed. This is what the prophet alluded to when he wrote under inspiration, that in the last days, seven women will take hold of one man, but will choose to eat their own contaminated bread. Let's read:
Isaiah 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
In our day there are many who take the name of Jesus and call themselves Christians, whilst they do not submit themselves to the purification process that only The Holy Ghost can accomplish, and by throwing out God's law, the salvation that Christ is willing to bestow is essentially forestalled, for the work of The Holy Spirit is essentially to write the principles of God's law in our minds, so that the image of God may be restored in all who name the name of Christ. Therefore the Bible concludes that a person cannot be a true Christian without law, for it is the indispensable essence of God's work of grace in the heart. Let's read:
Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Let us therefore be certain to avoid the current snares of liberalism, which encourages each person to make their own personal standard of right and wrong, because the so-called freedoms and liberties that are boasted of as a result, are actually the chains that satan uses to bind the minds of individuals in a deadly cycle of sin and death. We therefore end with a passage of scripture which calls upon us as Christians to honor the sacred law of God, which is the foundation of His government in heaven and earth, and it is His will that it now be written indelibly in our hearts, so that we may serve Him without fear. Let's read:
Psalm 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study and practice of His every word. God bless!
