Heaven, A Place of Surprises. Part [8] 03/16/2026 (Morning thought)

John 4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

The woman at the well who had six husbands will be seated around the welcome table because she also submitted herself to Christ. Peter and David will also be there, together with the apostle Paul, who in his former years hunted newly minted Christians to death, but he too submitted his will to Christ, and the rest is history. There will also be some good men, like Shadrach, Meshach, Daniel and Abednego, who, by the grace of God, were kept from sullying their characters.

Again, do not let Nebuchadnezzar be present, and you be missing, for the grace of God is for all who will submit to God’s work in the heart. We tell you the truth, do not let any family member rob you of what is to take place in the not-too distant future….[The Great Controversy pp 644] Amid the reeling of the earth, the flash of lightning, and the roar of thunder, the voice of the Son of God calls forth the sleeping saints.

He looks upon the graves of the righteous, then raising his hands to heaven he cries, “Awake, awake, awake, you that sleep in the dust, and arise!” Throughout the length and breadth of the earth, the dead shall hear that voice; and they that hear shall live. And the whole earth shall ring with the tread of the exceeding great army of every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. All arise with the freshness and vigor of eternal youth.

Genesis 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he swore unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!

Heaven, A Place of Surprises. Part [7] 03/16/2026 (Evening thought)

Romans 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

It’s funny, because when you read of the history of the two brothers, it seems on the surface as if Esau was the better one by far, for you do not read of him embezzling and defrauding anybody. Esau respected his parents, and he got married to only two wives. But Jacob also had four wives so when you compare the two of them, it may seem as if the eldest son was the better person.

But good persons who reject Christ, are worse off than your everyday Jacob, who submit themselves to be transformed by the power God. This is one reason why heaven will be a place of surprises. Jesus puts it this way… Matthew 21: 28 But what think you? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

Matthew 21:30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. 31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you…. Mary, out of whom Jesus had to cast out seven sex- demons will be in heaven, for she submitted herself unto Christ, and she stayed the course with Him for the rest of her life.

Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
