Heaven, A Place of Surprises. Part [6] 03/15/2026 (Morning thought)

James 4:Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

Individuals who do not take up in earnest their war against sin and self who refuse to subdue latent the tendencies by the grace of God, but will rather make excuses for sin, will go missing in action. This can be deduced from the life experiences of the two sons of Isaac, namely, Esau and Jacob. Esau will not be saved, even though he and Jacob grew up in the same household, sitting in the same Sabbath school class, and having the same Christian parents.

He made light of the birthright which also included being the progenitor of Christ. Spiritual things were almost as a burden to him, and when he finally sold his birthright for a pot of lentils, he breathed a sigh of relief, and he felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from off his shoulders. God took notice, and later on when he cried like a child for the blessing, it was forever gone with the wind.

Golden opportunities that are here today can be gone tomorrow, and some of us may take it for granted that because our names are on the church books, that we will be saved. This is an erroneous perspective. In fact, on any given Sabbath day, you will discover that very many members are no where to be found, some for valid reasons and some for invalid reasons. While it is good to be a member of God’s Remnant church, membership is not a guarantee of salvation because Jacob and Esau attended the same church, meaning that they were both exposed to the truth.

Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!

Heaven, A Place of Surprises. Part [5] 03/15/2026 (Evening thought)

Revelation 3: 5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

When he realized that his wife was missing, there was most likely a severe temptation to look back for her, at least to see how she was doing, but if Lot were to do so, he also would have shared her fate. Thus, some people may conclude that heaven won’t be heaven without their loved ones, and as a result, some might be tempted to turn their backs on God, on the sacrifice He made to save us individually, and inevitably, the immortal inheritance which God has prepared for those who stay the course with Jesus.

God is going to wipe away tears from our eyes, and the way He is going to do it is by throwing open the books of record, so that persons can see how many times Christ tried to save to the uttermost. Then it would be revealed how very many spurned opportunities were given, and how many times the pleading voice of The Holy Spirit was rejected, over and over again. Very sad to say, but many remnant members won’t be seen anywhere in heaven, even though diligent search would be made for Brother and Sister so and so.

Whereas in times past God blinked at some of the failures of His people, now that abundant light has been shed on our path, God is providing all that we need to overcome……[Selected messages BK, 2 pp, 368] When the law of God is made void the church will be sifted by fiery trials and a larger proportion than we anticipate will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
