Joel 2:11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
Especially will this be the case for the remnant who would be chosen by God to carry His last message of mercy to a dying world. Persons are to cultivate the faith of Jesus, by trusting implicitly in God alone. This level of trust does not come suddenly but must become a part of our everyday experiences, where we keep our eyes on Jesus no matter what man may or may not do. The habit of focusing on man will get many people into trouble.
When Daniel predicts that Michael will stand up, we should understand that statement in the context of some grave emergency, that will call for additional reinforcements and the direct interventions coming from the God of heaven…. I asked what had made this great change. An angel answered, “It is the latter rain, the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the loud cry of the third angel.”
Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
