1st Peter 4:14 If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Cambridge Dictionary: An unfair and unreasonable opinion or feeling, especially when formed without enough thought or knowledge. It also means disliking a group of people for no good reason, or having an irrational dislike or hostile view of a person based on their race, religion, gender or age. We are living in an age where prejudice is now being exercised against peoples, ethnic groups, and folks who have originated from different countries.
And, just as Cambridge Dictionary stated, in many cases, there is no valid reason for harboring such a hostile view against those who are at the receiving end of the stick. Entire communities are being prejudiced against, as hostile views are cultivated with unfounded rumors, and manipulation of the facts. It is worthy of note that the Cambridge dictionary also suggests that the hostile views against certain races, and religions are often formed without a knowledge of the facts.
In other instances, it is just the result of deeply held hatred against certain groups of people, for no valid reason. It is a very sad and regrettable situation we find ourselves in, but this the reality we are living in. Thus, the Christian who chooses to serve The Lord, according to the dictates of conscience will also find himself or herself on the receiving end of prejudices which are meritless, and as such, it is something we will have to confront and deal with, sooner or later, in a godly manner.
1st Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
