1st Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Observe carefully how the Hebrews’ mood would go into a tailspin very often when their food truck is no where to be seen for the moment. Panic mode and irritability would often set in, and in some instances, they would get violent, and their patience would wear thin. We may look back and say that was those guys, but in our own experiences, is it true that we also fail to manifest the patience of the saints, especially when we may have deadlines, or urgent matters, or worse yet, when our own food truck doesn’t show up at a reasonable time?
Exodus 16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: 3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; because you have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
Exodus 15: 22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore, the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
Exodus 17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
