Luke 9: 52 And He sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
Luke 9:53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
Thus, Judas, like all the other disciples was ordained and just like Peter, James and John, he had his own set of problems to deal with. Therefore, if Judas was scheduled to preach in church on some Sabbath, he shouldn’t be rejected because of what he did or did not do. His words should be studied Berean style, but for a person to outright reject him, because of flaws in his character, would put such a person on the path to reject all twelve of the disciples, for every single one of them had serious flaws.
[The Desire of Ages pp 295] All of the disciples had serious faults when Jesus called them to His service. Even John, who came into closest association with the meek and lowly One, was not himself naturally meek and yielding. He and his brother were called “the sons of thunder.” While they were with Jesus, any slight shown to Him aroused their indignation and combativeness.
2nd Chronicles 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
