Revelation 13: 13 And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
The Lord would often heal our diseases and sickness but the prince of darkness offers to heal your diseases, for a price. This is one of those features of the final conflict which is scheduled to play a major role in getting persons to part with their birthright. With the cost of healthcare and medicine becoming more and more unaffordable, and with various cuts to Medicaid and Medicare and with insurance going through the roof, a freebee healing, in exchange for your soul may seem like a viable option.
And there’s no doubt, that when a person’s back is against the wall, some would consider selling their birthright to be healed. [The Great Controversy pp 553] Paul testifies that before the second advent of Christ there will be similar manifestations of Satanic power. No mere impostures are here foretold. Men are deceived by the miracles which Satan’s agents have power to do, not which they pretend to do.
In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Savior uttered; he heals the diseases of the people.
Revelation 13:14 And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
