Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him. 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

Category [5] Wherever there is a convergence or a confluence of evil traits of character being manifest in a person, without remorse or repentance, there, you most likely will see an accursed person….. Proverbs 6:18 A heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaks lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

If for some reason you were to see these attributes converging in a single individual, it is quite possible that the person’s name is Achan and if so the person is accursed. Furthermore, according to what we’ve studied earlier, there will be trickle down effects, if anyone happens to be under their jurisdiction. It is a fearful truth, but it is the truth…. [Patriarchs & Prophets pp 496] Of the millions of Israel there was but one man who, in that solemn hour of triumph and of judgment, had dared to transgress the command of God.

[Patriarchs & Prophets pp 496] Achan’s covetousness was excited by the sight of that costly robe of Shinar; even when it had brought him face to face with death he called it “a goodly Babylonish garment.” One sin had led to another, and he appropriated the gold and silver devoted to the treasury of the Lord—he robbed God of the first fruits of the land of Canaan. The deadly sin that led to Achan’s ruin had its root in covetousness, of all sins one of the most common and the most lightly regarded.

Psalms 32:9 Be you not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
