All blemishes and deformities are left in the grave… This is what Esau exchanged for a bowl of lentil soup and this is why, when he had cried unconsolably like a baby after he lost the birthright, he found no place for repentance for it was a decision that was never to be reversed. The question is: Is there anything we might be selling our birthright for?
Ananias and Saphira sold their birthright for some cash, Judas sold his for thirty pieces of silver, Achan sold his ticket to glory for a few shekels of gold, and some expensive, fashionable clothing, Ahab sold his soul to Jezebel, and he bartered away the immortal inheritance for some real estate, and David almost sold his birthright for a one night’s stance. It is in order that we stop for a brief moment to get a reality check, as to what we should expect, in the spiritual war, in which all are now engaged.

He lays his snares for every soul.
