Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
Then there are the security guards who protect the facilities, and the mechanics who repair the elevators and ambulances. Now, if for some unknown reason, one of those old ambulances were to shut down on the road the tow truck driver would also have to be called out to do a good work, and when Tripple AAA finally brings it back to the shop, those folks who work at Car Shield may have to come out to inspect the damage before they order the repairs.
And if they do, the salespersons at Advance Auto Parts or Napa, would also be doing a good work, by providing the needed parts for the repair, since the ambulance has to be back on the road as soon as possible, in order to save life. Remember, the four men who brought the sick man are being replaced with what is considered normal, and necessary, to bring sick persons to the medical facility.
I guess the gas stations may get a pass too, if the ambulances use diesel, because the supporting systems for “Bringing” could be indirectly tied to the Good/Well we read of in our opening passages. And we are just touching the tip of the iceberg, for there are lots of other essential services, and jobs just waiting in the wings to join the line, under the umbrella of Good/Well. There are cooks, caterers, janitors, and laundry personnel.
Leviticus 26:34 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and you be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. 35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when you dwelt upon it.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
