Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Some of the names that have surfaced in the recent discoveries are men whom the world looked up to previously. That is until it was revealed that behind all the pomp and glamor, and bling, and intellectual prowess, and wealth, and influence, and political standing, there were found several skeletons in their closets. Little space is given to recounting the virtues of even the best men who have ever lived. This silence is not without purpose; it is not without a lesson. Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. “God bless!
