John 3: 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone that does evil hates light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds will be reproved.
Many years ago when I was just a kid in elementary school, I got involved in a situation that got me into trouble. Back in those days, when the schools would have recess, they would serve milk and biscuits to the students. At different times certain children were selected to serve and when they did, they were given full access to the items on the menu, and it was their sole duty to distribute the snacks, as the students waited in line.
On this particular day, my friend and I were selected to serve, but sadly, we decided that we would help ourselves to some of the items. We did, but some way somehow, the principal at the time found out, and we were summoned to his office to answer for our sins. This took place in Trinidad, in the Caribbean, so we knew what the result would inevitably be, therefore we hatched a plan to deflect some of the pain that would be coming our way.
We then decided to tuck a copybook neatly into our pants at the rear, where we expected the full impact of the disciplinary action was sure to take place. The copy books were well hidden, and as we went into the principal’s office, it was with part apprehension and part assurance. And so said so done, the principal pointed out our sins and then he gave us our due. Our plan worked flawlessly, but throughout the procedure, the poor principal looked really puzzled, for he just could not figure out why we were not crying at all.
John 3:21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
