2nd Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
The Writer strongly advises persons to focus their attention on three things. [1] Godly conversation. [2] Holiness. [3] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of The Lord, meaning that believers are to assist in preparing the world for the big one. We are sad to announce that the preparations that are mentioned in the Bible are not being considered by most people, either because they do not know or because the Biblical form of prepping does not fit in with the popular world views on survival.
The natural human instinct when we know trouble is coming is to do all we can to prepare. Floridians will tell you that come June 1st, its all about getting your survival strategy in place, complete with MREs, flashlights and battery powered radios. In the Midwest, where tornadoes are notorious for wreaking havoc, you must have a safe room in your basement ready, so that when those siren warnings start to blare, you can take cover underground.
That’s all well and good, but this what the Bible says is heading our way will require a much different kind of preparation. No amount of reinforced steel, guns, concrete, and bullets will suffice, for Daniel declares it to be a time such as never was since there was a nation. This means that there is no precedent, or script to follow, except persons were to believe, and receive the instructions given in God’s word. This is the one and only way to survive doomsday.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
