Revelation 14: 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worships the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand.
In Revelation chapter 13, the mark of the beast has been instituted and the teeming multitudes of earth have been fully alerted to the high stakes involved in taking or refusing the false form of worship. Then, a final message is given warning anyone against taking the mark…. 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.
[The Great Controversy pp 627] The severity of the retribution awaiting the transgressor may be judged by the Lord's reluctance to execute justice. The nation with which he bears long, and which he will not smite until it has filled up the measure of its iniquity in God's account, will finally drink the cup of wrath unmixed with mercy. [The Great controversy pp 628] All of the judgments upon men prior to the close of probation, have been mingled with mercy.
“The pleading blood of Christ has shielded the sinner from receiving the full measure of his guilt; but in the final Judgment, wrath is poured out unmixed with mercy.”… Then, after the third angel’s message has been sent, and delivered the following passage is written. Thus, as we read, there will be one and only one question to be answered.
Revelation 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
