When God Needs Foolish Men. Part [14] 01/06/2025 (Morning thought)

Mark 13: 35 Watch you therefore: for you know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning.

While the Christian is not to go into panic mode, we are counseled by Christ to look for the signs and the waymarks that would herald His return, and this we must do, because in every reference to the second coming of Christ, the Bible infers that it would occur suddenly. Thus, as we look forward to a new year, we must be ready to adapt and make changes as The Lord would direct.

Luke 21: 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

[The Great Controversy pp 491] The righteous and the wicked will still be living upon the earth in their mortal state—men will be planting and building, eating and drinking, all unconscious that the final, irrevocable decision has been pronounced in the sanctuary above. “Watch you therefore; ... lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping.” While the man of business is absorbed in the pursuit of gain, while the pleasure-lover is seeking indulgence; While the daughter of fashion is arranging her adornments, it may be in that hour the Judge of all the earth will pronounce the sentence, “Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.”

Mark 13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all Watch.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
