Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. 13 But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he fears not before God.
After El Chapo was extradited to the United States, he was placed in a maximum security prison. And no doubt, several heavily armed prison guards were again stationed all around. Therefore, when it came time for his arraignment in court if they didn’t find him in his cell, those who had the charge of him would have to come up with valid explanations as to how, and why he went missing.
And their explanation will also have to make sense to the intelligence community, because the justice department would never settle for any fairytale sort of explanation. Therefore, if when asked, their explanation was that El Chapo simply vanished into thin air, the judiciary would make certain that the responsible individuals would pay a very high price; [1] For not guarding the felon in their custody and [2] For giving a very stupid reason as to how he went missing.
In the case of the apostles being freed from prison, the authorities would be forced to acknowledge the fact that some supernatural intervention had taken place, but to do so, would put them in a bind, for if such an admission was made, then, they would be acknowledging that they were fighting against God. So, rather than do this and be humiliated in the eyes of the people, they pretend not to know what took place.
Acts 5:24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow. 25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
