Babylon’s Legislative Agenda. Part [13] 9/04/2024 (Evening thought)

Acts 5:34 Then stood up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; 35 And said unto them, You men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do as touching these men.

Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel, or this work be of men, it will come to naught. 39 But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it; lest haply you be found even to fight against God. 40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and had beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

We would have been very delighted if the previous verses constituted the final episode, in the sequel, but lo and behold, in our day currently, we see the same strategy is being employed. Remember that Isaiah warns of the tendency to put bitter for sweet, darkness for light, error for truth, and evil for good. Isaiah specifically refers to earth’s legislatures that trend in this direction. So, let’s do a deep dive to see if what Isaiah is saying applies to us in the here and now, and if so, where it will lead us to.

When legislative branches across the world legalize same-sex marriage, the law of God is inverted and perverted. And just like in days of old, persons who differ could potentially face prosecution, where there is conflict of conviction and practice. This is what took place with the Kentucky clerk who chose not to issue any marriage licenses to gay couples. Like Paul, she spent time in jail for doing so.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
