Babylon’s Legislative Agenda. Part [1] 08/29/2024 (Evening thought)

Isaiah 5: 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

For purposes of this Bible study, the name Babylon represents the antichrist system of governance and worship, that was introduced since the beginning of time, but has now morphed into a conglomerate by which the laws of God are steadily being eroded and overturned, in favor of man’s institutions and laws.

The title also includes ancient Babylon, and every nation under heaven that has sought to implement the dictates of the dragon, for back of all opposition to God, in any way shape or form, and throughout any age or era, is that single mastermind who began the war in heaven. When Cain sowed the seeds of alternative worship, and rebellion against God, he introduced that trend which would be developed over the centuries, into what it is today.

Cain went on to build a city, and its governing principles were basically the same which we see in modern day Babylon. Throughout history, there have always been forces antagonistic to God, and righteousness, which are led on by man’s invisible foe. Therefore, when the book of Revelation is closely studied, it is clearly revealed that there are really only two types of worship and governance, one, in harmony with God, the other in opposition to God. Everything else in between falls, more or less into  one of those two categories.

Revelation 18:And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
