Deciphering Truth from Error. Part [8] 08/25/2024 (Morning thought)

Mark 9: 23 Jesus said unto him, if thou can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Our actions are always driven by what we believe, for choices, decisions, and actions are just the end- products of what we believed first. For instance, the reason why as Christians we’re baptized is because we believe what the word of God says of baptism. But if a person doesn’t first believe the word of God, the rite of baptism will not follow.

Again, the reason why persons are afraid of duppy, and his relatives, is because they believe that ghosts of departed ones, flit around all over the place. This delusion is heavily driven by what is seen and heard on television. And, as such, some folks are scared to pass through the cemetery at night, for fear that some unknown apparition might suddenly appear out of nowhere, even though the graveyard may be one of the safest places to be at midnight.

It always starts with what a person believes, and the devils know this, that is why they always go to work at the source of the springs of our actions. And that is why the words belief and believed are to be found no less than 391 times in the king James version of the Bible. It all boils down to what persons believe.

Matthew 17: 19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
