How The Christian Handles Inflation. Part [12] 07/01/2024 (Morning thought)

Luke 21:9 But when you shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

Does God intend to scare persons when giving out those prophecies? The Scriptures seem to suggest otherwise. So, if Jesus is telling us not to be terrified, then what is the purpose of God, in revealing to us these dire things that will take place? Answer: God is revealing these things so that every-one who believes in Him could position themselves intelligently, based upon the information revealed in the prophecies. The problem is that we may not be reading our Bibles very “carefully”. Let’s take some examples.

Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceives you. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in different places.

Matthew 24;8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 15 When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso reads, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:

Matthew 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
