How The Christian Handles Inflation. Part [2] 06/26/2024 (Morning thought)

Deuteronomy 4:Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land whither you go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

The principles and instructions given in the Bible are designed to enable the believer in God to weather any storm that may come. The information is not for the good times only, it’s also for the bad times when there’s a change of fortune and when the going gets rough.

In the parable of the 3 stewards, the good stewards were first found faithful in their management of the material and perishable things of earth, before they were entrusted with eternal riches. Thus, how the Christian deals with inflation could set the tone for a calm assurance, or a nervous fretting, and worrying about what might come next.

Inflation affects everything downstream, from the price of groceries and gas, to the returning of tithes and offerings, for wherever, and whenever money gets tight because of inflation, persons and families will inevitably begin to skimp, searching for various ways and means to cut costs.

Ecclesiastes 5:If thou see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regards; and there be higher than they.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
