2nd Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.
In the study for today, we will not only bring to light the source of all misinformation, and conspiracies, but we will also be guided by the word of God with sound instruction, so as to avoid being sucked into a trend that has more or less become mainstream. Bible studies should never be done with the sole purpose of pointing out errors, or giving out a lot of information.
They should also include the Scriptural instructions, solutions and remedies which will then make the world a better place, if adopted. Lying has become crystalized and endemic in the U.S to the point where it is almost now a prerequisite, on one’s resume, if persons are desirous of holding any public office. Like the deadly Covid pandemic of recent years many variants and strains of lying have now sprung into life.
Many podcasters, television shows, radio talk shows and many influencers are now totally devoted to the spreading of much misinformation, and conspiracy theories, to the point where it has become difficult to sort out fact from fiction, truth from falsehood. In fact, much energy and time is now being wasted in debunking rumors and lies.
2nd Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
